Undergraduate Admissions Essay Services Offered
Applying for undergraduate admission to your favorite schools can be tough. Together, we'll work to make sure you put your best foot forward and maximize your chance of admission.
Here's what you can expect:
An in-depth online interview where we get to know one another. We'll talk about the schools in which you are interested, prospective majors, and different career paths. We'll also talk about interesting events in your life and why each school may be a good match for you.
I'll then provide you a short questionnaire asking you a number of questions regarding your academic progress, extracurricular activities, work history, and so forth.
I'll then provide you some guidance regarding your admissions strategy (the schools to which you are applying) and we will refine your final list with an eye toward maximizing the chance of admission to at least one of your top picks. Remember, you don't have to be accepted everywhere -- only to ONE school that you would like to attend.
We'll then outline and craft the ultimate admissions essay that is a perfect fit for you and the schools you would like to attend. In addition to focusing on developing a core essay that you will tweak for each school, we'll also address any supplementary essays that you are required to complete.
I'll provide you advice on how to ask for letters of recommendation and how to make sure they are getting done in time for your admissions consideration. I'll also provide you advice on when to take your SAT/ACT and provide you tips on how to improve your score (yes, there are strategies for increasing your score that can be very helpful).
Finally, we'll keep you organized and on track. Applying to a lot of schools can be both expensive and organizationally challenging. We'll make sure you get everything done that you need to get done.
Think of me as your personal assistant and coach, making sure that you stay on track and get everything done that you need to get done. Why take a chance on one of the most important decisions of your life -- going to college! -- when you can receive expert help to make sure you are maximizing your chance of admission?
Graduate Personal Statement Services Offered
The graduate admissions process can be daunting, to say the least. I offer a comprehensive package of services to help you maximize your chance of admission. I specialize in psychology admissions (that's my background), but can help any student who is applying to graduate school since the strategy is not unique to psychology.
Here's what you can expect:
An in-depth online interview where we get to know one another. We'll talk about the schools in which you are interested, why you want to go to grad school, and the important factors in your decision-making.
I'll then provide you a short questionnaire asking you a number of questions regarding your undergraduate career, research experience, grades, test scores, and so forth.
From there, settle on which schools make the most sense to you and develop a calendar of events so you know when to accomplish certain milestones (e.g., take the GRE, MCAT, etc.; when applications are due for each school; the amount you can expect in application fees, etc.)
We'll embark on a journey to design an overall strategy that maximizes your chance of getting into the school of your choice. Not only will I review your essays and personal statement, I'll talk with you about how to present yourself professionally in phone and in-person interviews. Think of me as your personal coach and mentor devoted to your success. It's much more that simply giving you some feedback on your writing, I'll be with you every step of the way to guide you through the process.
Important! Start early. For graduate school admissions, I recommend starting with me in June or July to begin preparation for fall admissions deadlines. You can start later than that, but the process gets more compressed. You will want plenty of time to prepare for admissions tests, make revisions on your personal statement, line up those letters of recommendation, and do any last second things that will help your overall presentation to the admissions committee. Plus, I will need a little time to think about how to best present your case and craft a focus strategy for your application.
