Learn English the Fun Way
English is a tough language. But learning English doesn't have to be hard. I specialize in teaching Business English and work with all levels of learners. To start your journey learning English, you only need to send me an e-mail and set up a time for your FREE first session. From there, we'll get you going with sessions at a pace that is good for you (once per week or maybe more depending on your interest).
What you can expect learning English from me
You have lots of choices out there when it comes to learning English. However, not all teaching is the same. You can spend a lot of money on instruction that never really helps you learn the language. Here are the most common reasons why students choose me as their English language coach and instructor:
Thirty years of teaching experience. I was a college professor for thirty years. I taught at Missouri State University, Eastern Michigan, Rollins College, and Florida Southern College. I have lots of experience both in the classroom and in online learning. And, when it comes to teaching, nothing beats experience.
TEFL/TESOL Certified. I have the requisite teaching certificates to teach English as a second language. Not all individuals who teach online have completed certification, so be careful.
The learning sessions are fun and meaningful. Above all, I focus on getting to know you and what is important to you. Lesson planning is built around your interests and what you want to accomplish. The lessons are designed for your unique needs. So, expect me to ask you a lot questions about what you want to accomplish in our class time.
It's the conversation that matters! Every session is a mix of learning new words, new grammar, new syntax, and then having a conversation using what we've learned. I'll even give you small assignments to do on your own to make sure that you understand and practice newly learned skills. In this way, you never feel like you stop learning -- you are constantly applying your new language skills.
Warm support. Have you ever noticed that all those fancy online language schools that use automated returns really fail when it comes to being supportive? That's because no computerized learning will ever replace the human touch that's needed to support learners as they learn English. It's tough! And you need someone who is patient and on your side ... who can laugh with you and support you when the learning gets a little hard. We're in this together and you're going to be the winner.
